CE questions, answered
What are CE credits?
CE credits (continuing education credits, also called CE hours, CEUs, CPE or PDH depending on the profession) are the hours of approved education a licensed professional must complete to renew a license. Each state and licensing board sets how many hours you need, which topics are required, and which courses count.
Where can I take CE classes online?
CE Training is building online CE courses and live online classes for licensed professionals in every state. Courses open state by state as each licensing board approves them. Join the list and we'll email you when yours opens.
Will my CE course count for my license?
Only a course approved by your licensing board counts. Every course page will show the states it is approved in and the board's course number. Until a course is approved, we label it 'in development'.
What does 'pay when you pass' mean?
For online, self-paced courses you study and take the final exam at no charge, retaking it as needed. You pay one simple price only when you pass, and then your certificate downloads and your completion is reported to your board. Live classes with an instructor are paid when you reserve a seat. Where a state's rules require something different, the course page says so.
Do you report my completion to the state?
Yes. Reporting completions to each board in the format and time it requires is built into the platform.
